Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. Beethoven remains one of the most admired composers in the history of Western music.

"Music is a revelation of higher reason and wisdom." - Ludwig Van Beethoven

He was born in Bonn, Germany in 1770. He had a strong musical talent from an early age, and at the age of 13, he even published his first work. In 1792 he went to Vienna, where he studied with the composer Haydn. As a piano virtuoso and composer, he soon achieved tremendous success. He has been selling his works to publishers since the age of about 25, and his music has been in high demand.

Shortly before the age of 30, the exceptionally musically gifted Beethoven began to lose what is absolutely essential for a prolific composer and prominent musician - his hearing. The first reaction of the young composer was a complete fall into despair and he allegedly considered suicide. Gradually, however, he began to win over his disability, and even though fate set him a tough life test, he did not give up his work and composed other songs, despite his hearing loss. Beethoven then showed a huge life force, defying his fate. Even after hearing loss, his works were still of the same quality and even said to be better than his original work. However, he withdrew more and more from public life and created his works in complete privacy, almost isolated from the rest of the world. However, he kept saying that the new songs would be his legacy for later generations.

Despite his ill health, Beethoven did not back down from his love of music. However, he did not find the love of his life in the form of a partner and wife. He had several acquaintances with young ladies, but they all soon ended. In the end, Beethoven didn't even get married.

Beethoven's work includes 9 symphonies, 32 piano sonatas, 5 piano concertos, 10 sonatas for piano and violin, countless string quartets, vocal and theatrical music, and many other small musical acts. In his work, emphasis is placed on the depth of emotion and experience. Beethoven also expanded the size of the orchestra and extended and expanded symphonies. He placed special emphasis on the piano, the possibilities of which he pointed out, and elevated it to the foremost musical instrument.
The great composer of the Romantic period died in Vienna in 1827, at the age of only fifty-seven. However, his legacy in the form of beautiful musical works is immortal.

Beethoven is considered a genius who has directly or indirectly influenced the whole of Europe. Because he was far ahead of his time musically and mentally, he remained misunderstood and sometimes unrecognized. Only later generations were able to fully appreciate his greatness.
